Some Imp. points to keep in mind

Just a couple of imp. things that we, your moderators came up with:

1. Always remember that our website and community are dedicated to Glorifying our Living God, Jesus Christ!

2. The stated purpose of this Bible Study Forum is what is called "Faith Sharing." We will prayerfully reflect upon the chapter under study, and then share how the Holy Spirit has touched us in that chapter. This forum is for respectful reflection and discussion, not debate. This forum is also Catholic in nature. If someone's interpretation directly contradicts Church teaching, the moderator will respectfully point that out and state why. Debates over interpretation will be referred to the Apologetics forum.

3. We urge you all to check in weekly at this forum. We believe it will be a strong source of blessing to you enabling you to grow by meditating weekly on the Word of God and also by sharing & listening to other's views.

4. Pray that the Spirit of Truth will guide our discussion before, during, and after you read the Word and post in this forum.

5. THERE IS ALWAYS ANOTHER POINT OF VIEW; and just because another person doesn't see things the same way or understand in the same manner as you might, does not mean that their point of view is necessarily wrong. There are many gifts, but one Spirit. Likewise, the Spirit may be talking to you through someone else's post in the forum. Be polite and respectful to other users in your posts. We urge discussion that will promote thought & broaden our outlook, not posts that will put people down or have any negative personal remarks.

6. As stressed in all our other forums, if you borrow words from a book, article, or another web site, PLEASE reference the source and give proper credit to the author. Plagiarism will not be tolerated. It is not only dishonest, but makes this Community subject to legal action.

7. Posts that violate the rules and intent of this forum are subject to being moved, deleted, or modified.

8. The primary moderator for this forum is our very own Seeker. Post your suggestions for future books for study and ways to improve this forum either in the SUGGESTIONS & FEEDBACK forum or directly to Seeker / the other moderators.

9. We want you to know that the book of Wisdom (with which we start this forum) & all books after will be selected after prayerful consideration only. Similarly all recommended changes for conducting the forum will be prayed upon. We want the head of this board & community to be the Lord Holy Spirit

10. Please read the Suggested guidelines for studying Scripture which are based on Catholic teachings on how to interpret & study Scripture before you proceed.

11. Finally, Satan and his demons are very real and will do their best to sow confusion, hard feelings, and misunderstandings among us in order to distract us from the truth and prevent us from hearing God's message, so Please, please, please remember to pray before, during, and after each time you read the Word, and post in this forum. We need God's wisdom and his Spirit to hear His Word and glorify Him.
