In my opinion, God knew they would fall from the beginning. So if He knew they would fall, why not stop them from falling? I think He loved Adam and Eve so much that even though He knew what would happen, He still wanted to share Creation with them. He allowed them to freely choose Him or not because true love must be free.

Agree with you Seeker. Our all-knowing God surely Must have known their thoughts & actions even before they fell.
Which further highlights what an amazing God He is - to know all our weaknesses and still love us
