Read: Luke 21: 5 - 19

Reflect: There has always been a great interest in the the ‘when’ of the end time.  The Christian faith has no answer to the ‘when’ but it strongly affirms ‘that’ it be at the end of time.  For the moment, the end is not at hand and it is a waste of time to sspeculate about such matters.

We are living the ‘in-between’ time and there is a long journey to be travelled.  It will be marked by suffering and pain, but it will also be marked by the loving and guiding presence of a faithful God.  On our part we must live and love like Jesus, following him courageously into the future which only God knows.

Respond:
Q.1 If you knew the world was going to end in two months what would you do ?

Q.2 What bothers you most about the end of the world?

Q.3 What do you like best about the Second Coming of Jesus ?

Smiley I would quit my job, go back to Tabor and interceed on my knees for everyone I knew and everyone esle I could think of.

I would also stop worrying about some of the useless things which worry me now & then (and this is a good reminder to me right now to stop doing that).

I guess I also would make sure I had a DARN good confession (which would entail lot of soul searching in line with scripture) and that I was ok with everyone, that no one had anything against me & vice-versa.

Can't honestly say that I'm bothered at all about the 'end of the world'. It seems rather vague since none of us know the time or date. I believe that instead of thinking of end world times, we should all live our lives as if we could die at any moment - because we really can.

Q.3 What do you like best about the Second Coming of Jesus ?

There is a hymn called "Days of Elijah" (have any of you heard it?) which really makes my eyes sparkle as I thinking of the Lord Jesus coming on the throne, shining like the sun, riding on the clouds, in all His Splendor, looking handsome and dashing, surrounded by angels, trumpets blasting.... OH what an absolutely GLORIOUS sight that will be  rolleyes

Blessings,

Melody

Even with two months before the end, my primary rersponsibility and vocation is to my family.  I would ensure we we were spiritually ready for Christ's Second Coming.  From the passage though, I gather we should be prepared to suffer and die for Him.

Q.2 What bothers you most about the end of the world?
That when it comes time to suffer an die for Christ, especially to see my family suffer and die, that I will become weak and deny Him. Only by His grace will I be able to be a witness for Him so that others may come to know Him before the end.

Q.3 What do you like best about the Second Coming of Jesus ?
The fulfillment of the purpose of Creation and seeing our Savior face to face.  True peace.
