I don't know if this is the right forum.... but I would like to share this very powerful NOVENA... It is the ST.ANDREW'S NOVENA or THE CHRISTMAS NOVENA.

You pray the following prayer 15 times (like a chaplet) a day, starting on Nov.30th
and ending on Dec.24th.  The testimonies of prayers answered...even at MIDNIGHT...on Dec.24th... could fill many books....

HAIL AND BLESSED BE THE HOUR AND MOMENT IN WHICH THE SON OF GOD WAS BORN, OF THE MOST PURE VIRGIN MARY, IN A STABLE, IN BETHLEHEM, AT MIDNIGHT, IN PIERCING COLD.   IN THAT HOUR, VOUCHSAFE O MY GOD, TO HEAR MY PRAYER AND GRANT MY PETITION, THROUGH THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS AND THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY.  AMEN.

I always write down my petitions...so that I can check them off... as either a yes or a no....either way...they do get answered...

Since the Tsunami happened on the Feast of The Holy Family... I think it would be appropriate to start this Christmas Novena (since Christmas lasts 8 days) for the souls of those who have died and for the relief of those who survived.

It could be said until the Baptism of Jesus.

Excellent idea Rose Mary.   For anyone who feels moved to, a day of fasting would also be appropriate, I think.

Great ideas Rosemary & Seeker.

Incidentally, I've not been keeping the Tuesday fast in recent weeks. Am DEFINETELY going to get back to it, starting tommorow (to make up for this week) and then from the next week on Tuesdays as usual.

The survivors of this unprecedented calamity will be #one on my list. Horror storied of people who've survived only to find their entire villages & belongings vanished without a trace are eerily common.

Blessings on all,

Melody
