Dear Family Members,

It is with great sorrow that I inform you of the demise of our brother, fellow community member Colin. He passed away in Dubai this morning (from what information we have received till now). The details are still sketchy, I will update you as & when I receive more.

His body is now in Dxb, the family is awaiting it to be flown down for the funeral & burial.

Please pray for his wife & two sons.

Thank you.

Blessings,

Melody

From the information, I gathered, he suffered a major heart attack while at a party last night.

More than anything else, his family really needs our prayers.
Please do keep them in your prayers so that our Lord will guide them in their time of need.

Dear family members

its really a shock after reading about colin.... though i was not fortunate to know him personally...

i was at a another party and a little before midnight he messaged new year greetings to one of our friends who work with him. Next morning we get the news that he had a heart attack around midnight and passed away before he could be rushed to the hospital.

of course i was not aware that he was one of our family members here.

may god grant his immense grace and comfort to his family at this time and pray for his soul.

This is a shock and I'm saddened to hear of Colin's passing.  I will pray for his soul and for his family.   I'll miss you Colin.

Colin's funeral is today, 3.30pm IST. Since it's Tuesday & we fast anyway on this day, perhaps you could also say a special prayer for our brother Colin to enjoy eternal rest....

He was a simple man, with simple faith. I intend to write a small eulogy on him soon.

Blessings all,

Melody

Went for the funeral. It was a beautiful Mass. His wife Joyce indeed was terribly cut up, though the sons; Clayton & Connel seemed to be taking it quite well. Clayton even did the first reading. The choir sang beautifully (Ajay included  Cheesy )

I also managed to get a look at our brother, he looked tremendously peaceful. In fact - and I'm not sure if this is only my imagination - but he seemed to be smiling!! Praise God! Am convinced he is enjoying himself with Jesus right now Smiley

Hey Colin!!! Pray for us all, will ya!!

Also, while going through his posts to write my eulogy, I found this entry by him dated 1st January 2004

Quote
THANK YOU O LORD FOR THIS GREAT GIFT CALLED MELODY. ON BEHALF OF ALL MY FELLOW MEMBERS IN THIS VIVID COMMUNITY OF GOD'S LOVE WISH YOU A YEAR FILLED WITH GRACE.

MAY THIS NEW YEAR CATAPULT YOU, MELODY TO GREATER HEIGHTS.WE ARE ALL PROUD OF YOU.

Reading it this year brought even more tears than last year. Thx again Colin. I know you started this New Year in an infinitely better place.
Blessing on all of us,

Melody
