Hi Everyone!
Gary Here... Smiley

Was reading this book recently, titled “Finding God’s Will”…the book itself is amazing esp for those who are at the Crossroads of life not knowing which path would lead them where…but these few lines below really spoke to me…thought I’d share it with y’all…

 When I stand at the judgment seat of Christ,
And He shows me His plan for me,
The plan of my life as it might have been
Had He had His way, and I see

How I blocked Him here, and I checked Him there,
And I would not yield my will;-
Will there be grief in my Savior’s eyes,
Grief though He loves me still?

 He would have me rich, and I stand there poor,
Stripped of all but His grace,
While memory runs like a hunted thing
Down the paths I cannot retrace.

Then my desolate heart will well-nigh break
With the tears I cannot shed;
I shall cover my face with my empty hands,
I shall bow my uncrowned head.

Lord of the years that are left to me,
I give them to Thy hand;
Take me, and break me, and mould me
To the pattern Thou hast planned.

 ( poem by Martha Snell Nicholson)

“The world and all its passionate desires will one day disappear. But the man who is following God’s will is part of the Permanent and cannot die” (1 John 2:17)

“Live life then with a due sense of responsibility, not as men who do not know the meaning and purpose of life, but as those who do. Make the best use of your time, despite all the difficulties of these days. Don’t be vague but firmly grasp what you know to be the will of God” (Eph. 5:15-17)

Hey Gary  Cheesy

What a lovely poem!

Lord of the years that are left to me,
I give them to Thy hand;
Take me, and break me, and mould me
To the pattern Thou hast planned.

Will make that my special prayer Smiley

Blessings,

Melody

Thanks for sharing that, Gary!  Excellent sentiment.  That's the key, I think...  Surrender your will to God's and trust Him to do what's best, always seeking guidance.  I really like that attitude.

Hey Gary... That was a beautiful poem... Thanks...

I too pray regularly asking God to reveal His Plan for me... Whenever I have to make a big decision in life, I weigh all the pros and cons and take the plunge... And I surrender the decision to God and ask Him to put blocks in my way in case it is not His Will for me... This has always worked... If it is His Will then He smoothens the way.. If it is not, things just don't work out...

Well, just my five cents...
