Thought I'd start a topic here...

I came across the following article today...

http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=36763

I'm interested in other people's thoughts about this.  Haven't pro-lifers been warning for years that abortion will lead to infanticide?

OMG.

What next? "Murder ok, if certain 'defects' are found in people" ?

Scarily enough, Professor John Harris is  a member of the British Medical Association's ethics committee!

I do agree with him on one of the remarks he made though:

Quote
Harris... suggested there's no moral difference between aborting an unborn baby and killing an infant once it's born, said the report.

''It's not plausible to think that there is any moral change that occurs during the journey down the birth canal," he told the Telegraph

Let's hope those people that take Prof Harris seriously stop abortion rather than promote infanticide.

Slightly shaken,

I agree with you that that's the only portion of what he said that I agree with.  It's scary the parallels we are seeing these days between today's society & the murder of innocent "defective" people in Nazi Germany in the 30's & 40's.  Not to change the subject, but have you heard about the Schavio case here in the US?

Scary stuff.

No Tina, I was not aware of the Schavio case, but I did read up from the website you mentioned.

The amt. of population is so great here in India, that a case like this would never remain in the news (if it made the news at all). Most people just don't care, one person less is one person less. The few that do, well, it's hard to swim against the tide.

I agree with you that we live in a scary scary world...but it's also wonderful to see the number of people in the US who are willing to take a stand for what they believe in.
