Hello all.

My faith has always been the faith of my parents until recently.  I claimed to believe without really believing.  In college I was challenged about my faith and began to question it.  I used to spout the official Church line without actually believing it.  I never left the Church, but soon realized how weak my real faith was since I never really nourished it.

I recently began looking for the truth about Catholic beliefs and started studying Scripture.  The testimony of converts like Scott Hahn, James Akin, and Marcus Grodi inspired me and started me on this path. That journey into Scripture and searching for the truth has strengthened my faith and prayer life and brought me back to the Church.  It's a wonder what I learned when I actually read the Bible, Papal Encyclicals, and the Early Church Fathers instead of listening to others interpret them for me.  There is a real harmony in it all.

I look forward to growing in the Spirit with everyone.  This looks to be a great community.  Praise the Lord for Melody and her friends for getting this thing going.

Oh yeah, sorry about that.  Wink

I am a guy.  I'm married with three kids.  Part of the reason I started getting more into our faith is because I realized that my wife and I were responsible for introducing Christ's love to our children and raising them in the Church.  How could I do that if my own faith was weak or I didn't know what I believed?
