Dear group
My brother is in great need of prayer. He is suffering from alcohol abuse, and now has liver failure and not expected to live. While there is little that can be done for his liver, I am most worried about his soul which has great value. My hope is that he will place all that is going on into the loving hands of his Creator.

Thank all of you who read this

Your Brother in Christ

Lord we surrender this brother to you.Free him from the bondage of satan.Free him from alcohol abuse.Hide him in your holiness.
HEAL HIM O LORD AND HE WILL BE HEALED
SAVE HIM O LORD AND HE WILL BE SAVED
WASH HIM O LORD WITH YOUR PRECIOUS BLOOD AND HE WILL BE MADE CLEAN.

Dear Dennis,

I pass on the advice someone once gave me when I was in a similar situation :

Picture your loved one under the cross of Jesus, His Holy Precious Cleansing Blood flowing from His Wounds onto the top of your brother's head to the soles of his feet. Surrender your brother's soul (& even his present life) to the Lord Almighty. Acknowledge that Jesus shed His Blood so that your brother may live & CLAIM THAT on behalf of your brother.

An intercessor's prayer can be very powerful.

I join you in this prayer.

Blessings upon the entire family,

Melody

PS: Keep urging your brother to accept Jesus as his only Lord & Saviour. Many people find it difficult to talk about spiritual things with family members, but as you know, it is a matter of Eternal Life or death.

Dennis, I will remember your brother in prayer and when I receive the Eucharist.  Furthemore, when I pray my Compline (Night Prayer) tonight I will offer it for his health and well-being: mind, body and soul.  I will do the same when I pray my Rosary tomorrow.

May God rain his blessings upon you and your family, and may His Spirit strengthen you all in such times of trial.

Peace,
-Rev. Eric

To all those who have prayed for my brother Mark, I thank you. He comes home next week after not having a drink for 5 weeks.

God Bless all of you

Praise God! This is good news indeed - I never tire of hearing of the love the Lord keeps bestowing on us His children  Cheesy

I also pray that Mark continues to remain sober by the Grace of our God and that He may use this God given time to spread God's Word & God's love. Amen.

Blessings,

Melody

PS: This may be an excellent time to take Mark & his family to an outreach program.
