I'was born into Catholicism and went to  catholic school through college.
Never any bad Catholic experiences.  The nuns I had in grammar school were great and I admire the intellegence and common sense displayed by the Jesuits that took me through the rest of my education.   I fell away from the Church in my early 20's became rather agnostic and somewhat anti religious especially toward fundamentalist types for about 24 years.  Never any negative feelings toward the Catholic Church.  Even as an agnostic, I often defended it against fundamentalist attacks by people I ran across who were from that orientation.

Recently (year and a half ago) came back to the Church, or should I say trying to make my way back as a result of late in life marriage.  Discovered I enjoyed going to Mass. (Never really did as a youngster)  Facinated with Church history and Religious history in general.

Still have many doubts, problems related to faith and Church teachings.  Still troubled with bouts of agnosticsism from time to time but feel I'm in a better place than I was 2 years ago.  I'm going one step at a time and hope I stick it out.  I'm always impressed with the faith of others and hope maybe some of it will rub off.

I've had a relatively good life,  never hit bottom or anything like that.  I made a vow when I was married that if it was done in the Church, I would get back to attending.  So I have.  Hello everyone!

Cheesy Welcome Jim!

Praise the Lord for bringing you back into the Church - and with a new passion!

Our family mission as an online community is to be there for each other, whether in terms of prayer support, clearing each others doubts out or just lending an ear.

To this end, any doubts you have could be clarified here - and I'm sure together we'll all "Stick it out" to the glorious end in Christ Jesus!

Blessings on you & your family,

Melody
